The Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo (SAN) launched the Voluntary Asset and Income Declaration Scheme (VAIDS) to the nation on 29 June 2017, outlining the Federal Government’s plan to increase tax awareness and compliance, and grant tax payers a time-limited opportunity to regularise their tax status without penalty.
