The Joint Admission Board and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has shifted the 2019 mock exam dates due to the general elections and is likely to postpone the 2019 UTME to April 2019. No new JAMB dates has been announced yet.
The JAMB 2019 mock exams which was scheduled to hold on February 23rd, 2019 will now be postponed due to presidential general elections which is also scheduled to hold on the same day.
Free movement will be restricted during the Presidential general elections, therefore JAMB can no longer conduct its mock examinations on this date.
The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board has officially announced the postponement of the Mock exam but is yet to announce a new date. However it is believed the Board will do so in the coming week.
The 2019 UTME will commence from March 16th – 23rd 2019 and the deadline for 2019 UTME registration is February 21st, 2019. JAMB early stated that the deadline will not be extended. The board also stated that it is considering shifting the UTME dates due to the March 9 elections. The new date for JAMB Slip Printing will be announced by the the board in the coming weeks.
JAMB also cautioned candidates to ensure they only register at accredited CBT centres and report any centre which charges above the statutory examination and registration fee which are N3,500 and N700 respectively.
