South Africa’s biggest reality competition, Idols, is back! For over a decade, the South African version of Idols has been one of one of the country’s biggest shows, always full of spice, scandal and above all, super singing.

The show’s forte is forging superstars from raw talent and it has consistently launched the boys and girls next door to the top of the pop charts.

IDOLS SA 2019 Audition Requirements

Applicants must be South African citizens between the ages of 16 and 30.

Applicants must possess a valid ID.

Minors must have written consent signed by a parent or guardian.

Singers who auditioned in previous seasons are allowed to re-enter, but not anyone from a previous Top 10.

How to Watch IDOLS SA

Fans can watch Idols Season 15 on Mzansi Magic, Channel 161 on DStv, every Sunday.There will also be a dedicated Idols channel, (Idols Extra) Channel 199 on DStv.
The show will also be available on DStv Catch Up once the show has aired.


IDOLS SA Season 15 Judges

IDOLS Season 15 judges will be officially announced soon.


Live Show Venue

The season 15 shows will be filmed at the State Theatre in Pretoria and the finale will be filmed at Carnival City, in Johannesburg’s East Rand. The dates are yet to be officially announced.

    may I ask whether do idols interfere or makes it difficult for
    students in varsity to carry on with their studies whilst on the competition?
