About Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF)
The Lagos State Employment Trust Fund is an initiative of the Lagos state government. The mission of the LSETF is to create employment and wealth for Lagosians.
The Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF) was established by The Lagos State Employment Trust Fund Law 2016 to provide financial support to residents of Lagos State, for job, wealth creation and to tackle unemployment.
The Fund will operate with an initial capital of N25Billion contributed over four years by the Lagos State Government, but will also raise additional funding from various sources including donor partners, development agencies, corporate organizations and individuals.
LSETF will focus on promoting entrepreneurship by improving access to finance, strengthening the institutional capacity of MSMEs and formulating policies designed to improve the business environment in Lagos State. In addition, the Fund will also develop programmes designed to train and place unemployed Lagos residents in jobs; while also focusing on programmes designed to drive innovation within the Lagos ecosystem.

MSME Loan Programme
The LSETF Loan Programme aims to create affordable access to funding for small businesses to grow, expand, create wealth and put people to work. The loan scheme, which attracts only 5% interest rate per annum, is available to business owners who are registered residents of Lagos State.

Lagos Innovates, is a series of programs designed for the benefit of technology- and innovation-driven startups in Lagos State. By providing access to high quality infrastructure, learning, capital and networks, Lagos Innovates hopes to cement Lagos’ position as the leading destination for startups in Africa.
The LSETF Employability Support Project, is designed to help tackle the unemployment scourge among the youths by helping them gain requisite knowledge and skill through vocational trainings and subsequently helping them get job placements. It aims to train 10,000 young people to gain skills in 6 sectors
