Google recently recommended that all publisher to set up Google Adsense Ads.txt file which includes their publisher ID into their site root directory.
The warning read;
Earnings at risk – One or more of your ads.txt files doesn’t contain your AdSense publisher ID. Fix this now to avoid severe impact to your revenue.
This new feature aims to prevent counterfeit inventory from being presented to advertisers.
However, publishers hosting on the Blogger (Blogspot) platform may find implement ads.txt file a bit challenging because blogger previous didn’t have this features but Good news because it has just been implemented. Below is a guide to how to add adsense ads.txt file in Blogger blog.
How to Add Publisher ID Ads.txt File in Blogger
Click on the Notification > Copy the code which looks like this > Sample (google.com, pub-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, DIRECT, f08c47fec0942fa0) In the top left, click the Down arrow Down Arrow . Click the blog you want to set up an ads.txt file on. On the left, click Settings. Under “Settings,” click Search preferences. Under “Monetization,” find “Custom ads.txt” and click Edit. Paste Adsense ads.txt file in the text box. Optional: To check the content of your ads.txt file, go to http://<your blog address>/ads.txt
