EPL: Nigeria’s Ighalo and Iheanacho Credited with Vital Goals for their Clubs

It was another shocking and unpredictable weekend in the English Premier League, as the Nigerian Watford striker Odion Ighalo scored once again for his club to earn them a much needed 3 points. Odion Ighalo has scored a total of 10 goal in the EPL this season. 

The striker’s goal came in the early minutes of the game but it was just enough to give Watford the win which puts them on 7th position.

Over in Manchester, The 19 year old Nigerian youngster was lucky to get his name on the score sheet as a shot from the current BBC African footballer of the year Yaya Toure, deflected off him to get the late winner. 

Although all the praises went to Toure but technically, the goal was credited to Kelechi Iheanacho for getting the last touch on the ball. The game ended 2-1 in favor of Manchester City who are currently on top of the EPL table.

Another surprising result in the EPL was United’s shocking away 2-1 loss to struggling Bournemouth FC. The Red devils continue to struggle, and the pressure on head coach, Louis Van Gaal keep piling up.
