Most people make use of various utility software to take screenshot on their PC but did you know that all that can be done just by making use of some keyboard shortcuts. This function works perfectly on Windows 8, 8.1, Windows 7 and Windows Vista.
How to take Screenshots on Windows 8 and 8.1
You can capture your screen on windows 8 and 8.1 by pressing Windows Key + PrtScn. This action will automatically save your screenshot in a folder called “screenshot” under Pictures.
You can also capture an active windows by clicking on the windows and pressing Alt+PrtScn. This action will copy the screenshot to the clipboard. To save the screenshot, open Paint and paste it, then click Save.
How to take Screenshots on Windows 7 & Vista
To capture your entire screen on Windows 7 Press the PrtScn key which is located in the upper right-hand corner of your keyboard. You can also capture an active windows by pressing Alt+PrtScn. This action then copies the screenshot to the clipboard.
In some cases, to take a screenshot, you may have to make use of other keys such as FN + Insert depending on your keyboard.
Then open Paint and paste the screenshot on the Home Tab, you can find paint under All Program. You can go ahead to resize the image to your preferred size. Then click Save.
