Falcons Progress to Knock Out Stage With 9 Points

The Super Falcons made the nation proud in the 2014 African Women Championship competition by securing their 3rd win of the competition against Namibia. The game ended 2 – 0 and the goals were scored by Ofoegbu and Fransisca in the 36th and 38th Minutes respectively. The win means the falcons will proceed to the semi-final knockout stage.
The Falcons will play the runner up of group b on the 22nd of October 2014 to stand a chance of reaching the Finals. 

The Super Falcon’s Desire Oparanozie is currently Tournament’s top scorer with four goals, having defeated Ivory Coast and Zambia 4 -2 and 6 – 0 respectively in the previous group stage matches.

Ivory Coast narrowly escaped elimination after a 1- 1 draw with Zambia, However they were able to qualify with 4 points and will play Cameroon on the 22nd of October.  Nigerian Football fans which the Super Falcon Success in their quest.
