This weekends football in the Nigerian Premier League was full of surprises as the two league leaders Kano pillars and Warri Wolves both lost while playing away against Nasarawa United and Heart Land respectively.

Kano Pillar hoped to extend their lead last Sunday but a late goal from Nasarawa united denied them a vital 3 points. The match ended 1 - 0. This still leaves them a point above Warri Wolves. Their next match will now be at home against Kaduna.

Warri Wolves would have been on the top of the league table if only they had taken all three points at Dan Anyiam Stadium but they failed to do so as Ogbugh's 67th minute goal denied them their victory.

The Wolves will get another opportunity to top the the table as they face Crown fc on the 22nd at home.
